Arsenal are one of the clubs eager to take advantage of the ongoing chaos at Real Madrid, with Mikel Arteta’s men eager to recruit a Bernabeu star who wants to leave.

Xabi Alonso’s side face an overhaul of their attack in the coming months. Vinicius Junior is unhappy that his status as a key player at the club has been eroded and is pushing for an exit, while Rodrygo and Endrick could both move on to secure more game time.

This has created an air of uncertainty around Los Blancos, and Arsenal will try to profit.

Rodrygo has emerged as the leading target for Arteta, according to a report from Fichajes.

It is claimed that the 24-year-old wants to leave Real Madrid as early as January, with the Gunners ready to compete with Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid to sign him.

The Brazil international winger has managed just 327 minutes of action this season and is pressing for more pitch time ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Rodrygo sees the Premier League as a “favourable” options, although it is claimed that it will take a “strong offer” for Arsenal to sign the attacker, who has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €72.5m – down sharply from over €100m last month.

Real Madrid decide to sell Vini Jr after Clasico outburst

Real Madrid have decided that they will sell Vinicius Junior rather than give him a new contract following his outburst when replaced during El Clasico, Bild reports.

Vini Jr, who is out of contract in 2027, reacted angrily when he was substituted during the victory, initially marching straight down the tunnel after being withdrawn by Xabi Alonso. Although he would later publicly apologise for his actions and the issue seemed to have been put to bed, Real Madrid are concerned by the player’s actions.

It is claimed in Germany that Real Madrid believe the player has been leaking stories to the press about discontent in the locker room, with a report in The Athletic questioning Alonso’s leadership thought to have come directly from the Brazilian’s camp.

“President Florentino Perez is known as a friend of the superstars. But Vinicius has gone too far with his falling out with Alonso after numerous extravagant behaviours in recent years. For Perez, it’s about showing his players that none are bigger than the club,” Bild reports.

Vini Jr has been attracting interest from the Saudi Pro League, with rumours of a world-record bid and an enormous salary circulating for months. Real Madrid could well profit from these during 2026, having been pressed into a sale.
