Fabrizio Romano Transfer News: Bruno Fernandes’ FUTURE, €100m Chelsea TARGET
Football transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has given the latest news from Manchester United, Chelsea and Bayern Munich.
Truth over Fernandes’ future revealed
Bruno Fernandes played his 300th match for Manchester United against Brighton in a 4-2 win on Saturday but continues to be linked with a move away from the club.
Romano did not deny that this is a possibility but said it’s not something that the player is thinking about currently.
“Bruno is about to reach 300 appearances for the club this weekend - a fantastic milestone.
In a recent interview, Bruno spoke very clearly about the Saudi rumours,” Romano told his YouTube channel.
“Last summer, Al-Hilal offered between £80 and £100 million to sign him, but both Bruno, his family, and Manchester United decided against the move. He said: ‘My dream is to win titles with Manchester United.’
“Bruno also made it clear that he will not discuss his future or any potential move before the 2026 World Cup. He’s fully focused on United and has no intention of negotiating anything before then.
“There have also been reports in the last 24 hours about a release clause in his contract - even some numbers mentioned by the BBC, around £56 million. I can confirm there is a release clause, but not that number. The exact value has not been confirmed.
“What’s important to understand is that this clause is not a simple buyout clause - it’s subject to Bruno’s approval, meaning he has the final say on any potential move. Also, it’s not valid for Premier League clubs, so English teams cannot trigger it.
“It’s worth remembering that there was interest from Paris Saint-Germain two years ago, but nothing ever materialised. Bruno remains fully focused on Manchester United and winning trophies there.”
Chelsea get €100m wonderkid boost
Kenan Yildiz is yet to agree a new contract with Juventus, opening the door to a potential move to Chelsea, who are one of a number of clubs linked with a move for a player rated around the €100m mark.
Romano said: “There are many rumours - Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich - but also Premier League clubs keeping a close eye. Juventus are doing everything they can to extend his contract, but as of now, no agreement has been reached. Talks are ongoing, and Juve are pushing hard to keep him, but the situation remains open.
“Premier League interest is genuine, so let’s see what happens in 2026. For now, Juventus are working to secure his future at the club.”
Bayern rumours: The truth about Pavlovic’s Man Utd links
Bayern Munich are a side that has been in the news for positive reasons lately, with Aleksandr Pavlovic linked with Manchester United and building speculation over Michel Olise.
“About Aleksandar Pavlovic. There have been some rumours in England about Manchester United interest. As I’ve said many times before, United are planning for 2026 and are looking for a new midfielder - they’ve been following players like Carlos Baleba and Angelo Stiller - but regarding Pavlovic, I can guarantee there’s absolutely nothing happening,” Romano said.
“Bayern consider Pavlovic crucial to their project, both present and future. The entire board see him as a key player. Pavlovic is happy, Bayern are happy, and there are no negotiations or talks with Manchester United. So forget those rumours; Pavlović is untouchable right now.”
On Olise, Romano said: “In the past few days, there were reports about a possible release clause. Bayern’s sporting directors, Max Eberl and Christoph Freund, have publicly denied it. There is no release clause in Olise’s contract. The club are extremely satisfied with him - they see him as one of their best signings in recent years. Yes, there’s Harry Kane and others, but Olise was a top target for many clubs, and Bayern did everything perfectly to bring him in. He’s a key part of their future, and there’s no buyout clause, publicly or privately.”
