Chelsea make Moises Caicedo transfer decision
Real Madrid are firmly interested in signing Moises Caicedo next year, however Chelsea reportedly view him as a “non-sale asset.”
The Ecuador international has established himself as one of the best central midfielders in world football since arriving at Stamford Bridge in 2023 and reports in recent weeks have confirmed that Real Madrid are eager to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Xabi Alonso’s side are expected to sign a new midfielder next year, following the departure of club legend Luka Modric on a Bosman deal this summer, and Caicedo is one of several stars on their transfer wishlist.
Los Blancos are also keen admirers of fellow Chelsea superstar Enzo Fernandez, while Angelo Stiller, Adam Wharton and Kobbie Mainoo have all been linked with a move to the Spanish giants over the past few months.
However, Real Madrid are extremely unlikely to land Caicedo in 2026. The Ecuador midfielder has started Chelsea’s last 65 Premier League matches, and CaughtOffside have confirmed that he is viewed as a “non-sale asset unless an exceptional offer is tabled.”
Caicedo’s current contract at Stamford Bridge isn’t due to expire until 2031 and Chelsea are expected to resist any approaches for the 23-year-old.

Moises Caicedo is ‘the best midfielder in the Premier League’
Caicedo scored his third Premier League goal of the season against Liverpool on Saturday evening and Manchester United legend Gary Neville was eager to heap praise on the Ecuadorian after the game.
“Moises Caicedo was the best player on the pitch by a mile,” Neville told Sky Sports. “Forget the goal, which was absolutely incredible, his work around the pitch means he’s two in one.
“He’s everything and a brilliant midfielder player. He was the best player on the pitch by a mile and if Liverpool had him they would have won, he was that good.
“When he first came it wasn’t quite happening for him, was it? People were questioning him a bit but now he’s the best midfielder in the Premier League at this moment in time.
“You think of [Ryan] Gravenberch last season and Declan Rice, Rodri obviously, but right now I think we can say he’s the best midfielder in the Premier League.”
