Arsenal move for PSG star who can be the world’s best player
Arsenal are one of a number of clubs linked with a sensational move for PSG midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery.
The 19-year-old Zaire-Emery has been in PSG’s first team since signing as a professional in the summer of 2022 and showcased his qualities once again having been given a start against Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday. He was part of a young team that stunned the Catalans with a 2-1 success at the Olympic Stadium.
According to a report from The Daily Briefing, interest has been sparked from Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid amid claims that Zaire-Emery could be available for sale for €80 million.
Zaire-Emery: An outstanding talent available for a bargain price
Zaire-Emery was tentatively linked with a move away from PSG in the summer amid claims that he wanted more regular football, yet he has ultimately remained at Parc des Princes and has played a big part in the early season success of Luis Enrique’s side.
Injury problems in the Parisians’ ranks have given the teenager a chance to shine, and after a difficult 2024/25 campaign on a personal basis, he has come back into the side and thrived.
Against this backdrop, it is surprising that PSG might sell, yet if this is the case, Zaire-Emery would be an excellent addition to almost any side.
The France international has the capacity to become the best player in the world, according to SciSports.
The data analytics experts give him a potential rating of 141, which they calculate using hundreds of in-game data points.
Erling Haaland is currently the top star in world football based on SciSports’ ranking. The Manchester City striker only has a SciSkill rating of 135.
Of course, there’s no guarantee that Zaire-Emery will hit these heights projected for him, but it’s an indication of just how dominant a force he could become if he makes the right decisions in his career and avoids injury concerns.
With an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €70m, PSG’s asking price for the appears to be a reasonable one, but they will surely be doing everything in their power to resist Arsenal and the others to keep Zaire-Emery at the club.
