The transfer window may be over, but teams are already planning for January and beyond. Here are some of today’s biggest rumours.

Wharton door opened to Man Utd

Manchester United transfer target Adam Wharton has a gentleman’s agreement in place with Crystal Palace that should open the door to a move to Old Trafford next summer.

The 21-year-old star has been favourably compared to Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos and has attracted attention from many top clubs around Europe – including Man Utd.

Under contract until 2029 with Palace, he has an agreement in place with the London club that can see him leave if a bid in the region of €70-75m is received next summer. This could make him a tempting proposition for the Red Devils – especially if Eagles boss Oliver Glasner goes to Old Trafford first.

Real Madrid make call over €100m transfer

Real Madrid are ready to commit to keeping Vinicius Junior at the club and instead sacrifice either Rodrygo and Brahim Diaz as Los Blancos eye a €100 million move to renovate their attack.

Following the excellent form of Michael Olise for Bayern Munich, the Spanish club have their eyes on the exciting France international attacker.

Bayern are set to open contract talks with Olise, but interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs will make him a hard player to keep hold of.

Indeed, Real Madrid’s dream front three would see Olise flank Mbappe and Vini Jr.

Chelsea ‘AGREE’ Enzo Fernandez swap deal

Chelsea are ready to swap Enzo Fernandez for Real Madrid star Federico Valverde, according to reports in Spain.

Los Blancos have long been linked with a move for the Argentina star and it is now claimed that they have come to an agreement that will see Valverde sent in the opposite direction.

The Uruguay international’s future has been called into question this week after he was dropped from the Champions League clash against Kairat and was filmed performing a lacklustre warm up.

Valverde has been angered by these reports, but the rumours have not stopped.
