The Frenchman failed to establish himself as a regular following Enzo Maresca’s appointment last summer and after making just four Premier League starts during the first-half of the 2024-25 campaign, he was sent on loan to Aston Villa in January.

Disasi was then placed in Chelsea’s ‘Bomb Squad’ upon his return to Stamford Bridge in July, but he has failed to secure an exit, despite interest from multiple clubs across world football.

West Ham have now firmly joined the race for his signature, although time is running out for the east London side to finalise an agreement with Chelsea.

West Ham’s interest in Disasi has been confirmed by The Guardian, The Sun and French journalist Fabrice Hawkins, with the club in active talks over a last-minute deal for the 27-year-old.

West Ham to sign Igor Julio

West Ham are also close to finalising a deal for Brighton & Hove Albion defender Igor Julio after hijacking Crystal Palace’s proposed transfer for the 27-year-old.

Igor was expected to join Oliver Glasner’s side as a short-term replacement for Liverpool-bound Marc Guehi, but he is now heading to West Ham, despite successfully completing a medical at Crystal Palace.

Igor is set to become West Ham’s eighth signing of the summer transfer window, following the arrivals of Mateus Fernandes, Jean-Clair Todibo, El Hadji Malick Diouf, Mads Hermansen, Soungoutou Magassa, Kyle Walker-Peters and Callum Wilson.

Disasi could follow suit, although the Hammers will need to arrange a deal with Chelsea in double-quick time.
