Real Madrid to sign Haaland with SECRET AGENT plan
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez continues to target an ambitious move for Manchester City striker Erling Haaland and has launched an ingenious way to sign the Norway international.
Los Blancos already have a star-studded attacking line but Vinicius Junior is frustrating the Bernabeu club with his refusal to sign a new contract.
Real Madrid are running out of patience with the Brazil star and appear ready to move for Haaland to act as his replacement and allow Kylian Mbappe to move to his preferred role on the left wing.
Perez is ready to use a tried-and-tested method to sign the 25-year-old striker.
Real Madrid Confidencial reports that Jude Bellingham is set to be unleashed as a secret weapon in the bid to sign Haaland.
The England star, who has reappeared at training this week after surgery on an injured shoulder, is seen as key to the success of any bid. He is said to maintain an excellent relationship with Haaland, who himself is thought to love the Spanish lifestyle and could, therefore, be attracted by a move to Los Blancos.
Signing Haaland will be no easy task. He has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €187 million, making him the most valuable player in the world. On top of this, he signed a contract until 2034 with City earlier this year.
Real Madrid have some hope of landing the player via two clauses in Haaland’s contract. The first allows him to leave Man City if they are relegated – a slim possibility given the court case hanging over them – but also if Pep Guardiola’s miss out on Champions League football.
The Spaniards are believed to have used Bellingham to help them land Trent Alexander-Arnold, while Ibrahima Konate, another target next summer, has joked that Mbappe is calling him every two minutes to try to prompt a move.
Haaland suffers bizarre injury
Haaland, meanwhile, has suffered a strange injury while on international duty with Norway.
He posted an image of himself with a bloody face with the caption: “Just got banged out by a bus door. 3 stitches.”
Haaland joked with his fans about Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard, a former Real Madrid player, being responsible for the blow, but it appears that his participation in the World Cup qualifier with Moldova is under no threat.
