Man Utd reject chance to sign Benjamin Sesko UPGRADE as Chelsea pounce
Manchester United are reportedly unlikely to pursue a deal for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic next year, despite significant rumours of interest in the Serbia international.
Vlahovic, 25, was expected to leave Juventus over the summer and he was offered to a host of top Premier League clubs, including Man Utd, as the Serie A giants sought a sale.
However, he was unable to secure a transfer away from Turin, and his future remains a hot topic as he edges closer to the expiration of his Juventus contract.
Vlahovic is now into the final year of his current deal with Igor Tudor’s side and a move to England currently appears to be his most likely next step, with a new contract seemingly off the table.
However, Man Utd have made “no meaningful progress” regarding a deal for Vlahovic, as per TEAMtalk, and they are yet to register substantial interest in the 25-year-old.
Instead, it’s reported that Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have both lodged enquiries about the Serbia striker, while Newcastle United are also monitoring a potential transfer, despite the summer signings of Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa.
Man Utd opt against signing Dusan Vlahovic
Despite competition from Jonathan David and Lois Openda, Vlahovic has enjoyed a successful start to the 2025-26 campaign.
He has scored four goals and provided one assist in five appearances across all competitions, and his form has led to renewed interest from multiple clubs in Europe.
However, Man Utd appear unlikely to pursue a deal, despite the fact that Benjamin Sesko has struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League since his blockbuster summer move from RB Leipzig.
The Slovenia star is yet to score his first goal for the Red Devils and he appears to be suffering the same fate as his predecessor Rasmus Hojlund, who was also unable to become the reliable centre forward that Ruben Amorim craves.
