Michael Olise BOMB: Clubs 'position themselves' to sign Bayern star
Bayern Munich superstar Michael Olise is a 'dream target' for PSG, while Liverpool are also credited with an interest.
The France international moved to Germany in a blockbuster deal in summer 2024 and was an instant success. Olise carried his impressive Crystal Palace form over into the Bundesliga, notching 20 goals and 23 assists in 55 appearances across all competitions.
These exploits saw him named Bundesliga Rookie of the Season, and Bayern supporters voted him as their club's Player of the Season by an overwhelming margin.
The 23-year-old has started the current season in much the same fashion, netting a brace against RB Leipzig in the opening game of the new Bundesliga campaign.
Olise is under contract at the Allianz Arena until 2029, but it seems unlikely that the winger will see out his contract in Munich as his stunning performances are attracting the attention of Europe's most affluent clubs.
PSG, Liverpool linked with Olise
In recent days, reports emerged claiming that Olise has a release clause in his contract, which is a privilege that Bayern have so far only afforded a very small number of players like Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala.
Sky Germany reports that this is not the case and that Bayern are not concerned about any rumours that Olise could leave the club in the near future.
However, reporter Florian Plettenberg acknowledges that Olise is attracting the attention of PSG, who view the France international as a 'dream target.' In fact, the transfer insider states that clubs are 'positioning themselves in the background' for a future move.
In response to this assertion, the enigmatic and opinion-dividing transfer account Indykaila, which recently broke the news of Man Utd's interest in Carlos Baleba, claimed that Liverpool also ought to be added to Olise's list of suitors.
While it is, of course, too early to discuss a potential transfer of Olise, Liverpool's supposed interest does make sense as they will have to sign a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah sooner rather than later.
