'Fake quotes' - Nicolas Jackson transfer saga takes DRAMATIC turn as agent 'confirms' deal
Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson is expected to secure a move away from the club before the summer window slams shut, but his transfer saga has now taken a bizarre turn.
The Senegal international has been deemed surplus to requirements by the Blues hierarchy, following the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap, and multiple clubs across Europe are interested in completing a summer transfer.
Aston Villa and Newcastle United are both monitoring his situation, while Bayern Munich have firmly entered the fray as they look to sign a new forward to compete with Harry Kane.
Jackson’s agent Diomansy Kamara has now reportedly spoken out about his client’s future during an interview with Foot Mercato.
“30 goals in two seasons, without a single penalty,” he is reported to have said. “Highs, lows… but a page is turning at the Blues. Always grateful for yesterday, but already looking toward tomorrow, with optimism.
“Germany, Italy, England: the options are numerous, the decision is imminent. Thank you for the support, we see your messages…
“Nicolas Jackson, transfer expected within 48 hours, in shaa Allah.”
However, The Daily Mail’s Chelsea reporter Kieran Gill has claimed that Kamara’s supposed quotes are actually fake.
He posted on X: “FYI, Nicolas Jackson camp say the quotes purported to be from Diomansy Kamara are fake.”
Nicolas Jackson to join Bayern Munich?
It comes after German outlet BILD reported that Bayern Munich have reached an agreement on personal terms with Jackson.
The Senegal striker is eager to join the Bundesliga champions and Vincent Kompany’s side are now locked in negotiations with Chelsea as they look to finalise a deal before Transfer Deadline Day.
However, Bayern are currently looking to sign Jackson on loan, while Chelsea would prefer a permanent sale. Reports speculate that a loan deal with an obligation-to-buy clause included could therefore be arranged.
