Alexander Isak takes DRASTIC action to force Liverpool transfer
Alexander Isak has reportedly moved out of his home in Newcastle as he looks to force through a move to Liverpool before the summer transfer window closes on 1 September.
The 25-year-old has been exiled from the Newcastle United first-team squad by Eddie Howe, but the Magpies are still reluctant to sanction a sale as Liverpool are yet to meet their €174 million (£150m) valuation.
Arne Slot’s side saw an opening offer of €127.5m (£110m) immediately knocked back by Newcastle and they are yet to return with an improved bid, despite the fact that Isak has handed in a transfer request in an attempt to force through a move.
Isak was excluded from a family day held at Newcastle’s training ground last week and the property he has been living in was subsequently put on the rental market the following day.
That is according to The Times, who claim that Isak has now moved out of his home in Ponteland due to his incessant desire to join Liverpool.
The Sweden star had lived in the property since his arrival from Real Sociedad in 2022, but the owner is now reportedly looking for new tenants through a local rental company after Isak’s decision to depart.
Alexander Isak to leave Newcastle?
Last summer, as reported by David Ornstein, Isak informed Newcastle that the 2024-25 season would be his final year with the club. He reiterated this desire during a phone call with Eddie Howe two weeks before the end of the campaign.
However, he still has three years remaining on his current contract at St James’ Park and the Magpies are therefore able to keep him at the club if they wish.
