RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko has been offered to various Premier League clubs in the wake of his unsuccessful talks with Arsenal, according to a report.

The Slovenian looked set to make a belated move to North London this summer. Sesko was Arsenal's top target last year, but the young forward opted to remain at RB Leipzig for another season.

Heading into the current summer, Sesko again featured prominently on Arsenal's shortlist, and the 22-year-old was still the favoured target of Mikel Arteta. However, the arrival of Andrea Berta as sporting director completely changed the situation.

Berta preferred a move for Viktor Gyokeres, and after simultaneously negotiating deals for both strikers, Arsenal decided to prioritise the Swede, with the overall cost of his arrival likely the deciding factor.

It has been claimed that Arsenal ultimately gave up on signing Sesko because of RB Leipzig's reported €90 million to €100m asking price. Despite this setback, Sesko remains keen on a move to the Premier League.

Sesko offered to Man Utd and Liverpool

He certainly has no shortage of suitors. The likes of Chelsea and Man Utd were interested in him last year, and this admiration for one of Europe's most promising forwards remains.

However, Chelsea officially ended their pursuit of the Slovenian when they signed Liam Delap, with the Blues deeming the two players too similar in profile to justify getting both.

Nevertheless, TBR Football claims that Sesko has been offered to the Blues again. In fact, he has been proposed to pretty much all of the Premier League's biggest hitters, including Man Utd, Liverpool and Newcastle.

All three are in the market for a striker, although it remains to be seen if they would be willing to match Leipzig's asking price. According to Fabrizio Romano, Newcastle are now stepping up their pursuit of fellow Bundesliga striker Hugo Ekitike.

The Frenchman has also been linked with Man Utd and Liverpool, but Sesko could be a viable alternative.
