Man Utd handed HUGE transfer opportunity to finally end Sancho disaster
Manchester United are considering an intriguing swap proposal from Juventus in order to get Jadon Sancho to leave the club and move to the Italian giants this summer.
Sancho has found himself in transfer limbo after seeing Chelsea opt against turning his loan spell into a permanent move, with United having no desire to integrate the 25-year-old back into their squad.
United are keen to part ways with Sancho, who remains one of the club’s highest earners, particularly with the winger entering the final year of his contract, although the Red Devils do have an option to extend his deal for a further 12 months.
Sancho is also keen on a fresh start and has set reportedly set his sights on Juve, with Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport claiming that the English forward ‘seems to only have the Old Lady in mind’.
The player’s desire to move to Juventus has led him to consider dropping his salary demands, which prevented his move to Chelsea, in order to sign a long-term contract at a new club and leave United this summer.
With United demanding around €30 million for their unwanted star, Juventus are said to have offered Douglas Luiz in an ‘equal exchange’ – something which the Premier League side are considering in order to get off Sancho’s wages.
Luiz could give Amorim cost-effective solution to midfield desire
United’s desire to sign a midfielder this summer, while also operating under tight budgetary constraints, could make the opportunity to sign Luiz an intriguing one for Ruben Amorim.
Luiz endured a difficult season for Juve after signing from Aston Villa for €51.5m last summer, with injuries, fitness and consistency issues limiting him to just three Serie A starts in his debut campaign.
However, Luiz still maintains a strong reputation in England after his impressive stint at Villa and United may feel a fresh change in environment could see the Brazilian recapture his best form.
Juve are also believed to have offered Dusan Vlahovic as another option to United, although the Serbian’s wage demands would likely make his move a non-starter.
