Juventus have offered three players to Manchester United in their bid to sign Jadon Sancho, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The former England winger is back in the books at Man Utd after Chelsea decided to opt out of their purchase obligation after his middling loan at Stamford Bridge. Sancho was reportedly unwilling to take a pay cut, so the Blues incurred a penalty fee to send him back to Old Trafford.

This has presented the Red Devils with an additional transfer headache as they will now have to find a buyer for the 25-year-old, while they continue to pay his massive wages.

Although Sancho has no shortage of suitors, it is precisely his salary that is making a transfer difficult as seemingly no club in Europe is willing to match what Man Utd are currently paying him. He will have to accept that he needs to lower his salary demands.

Napoli and Juventus have both held talks with Sancho and Man Utd over a potential move, and the Bianconeri, in particular, appear to have upped the ante over a potential deal.

Juventus make Sancho swap offer

According to Fabrizio Romano, Juventus have once again sought to sweeten the deal for Man Utd by offering up unwanted players, just as they had done earlier this summer when they held talks for Antony.

Romano states that 'informal talks' were held last week during which Juventus named several players that they would be willing to trade, although these deals would have been separate transactions for accounting reasons.

The players offered to Man Utd were Douglas Luiz, who was already discussed during the Antony talks, Dusan Vlahovic and Timothy Weah, all three of whom Juventus are trying to push out of the club.

Romano adds that there have been no further developments regarding a potential swap deal so far, but he insists that Sancho is keen on a move to Juventus. The transfer insider also corroborates that the player's salary, not Man Utd's asking price, is the main stumbling block right now.
