Arsenal Transfer News Today: Rodrygo offer lodged as Arteta lands record-breaking signing
FootballTransfers runs through all the latest Arsenal transfer news, rumours and gossip, including updates on Rodrygo and Viktor Gyokeres.
Rodrygo offer prepared
Arsenal are prepared to submit an opening offer worth €80 million for Real Madrid superstar Rodrygo, according to CaughtOffside.
The Gunners have already announced the signing of Chelsea winger Noni Madueke for a fee that could reach more than €60m, but they remain interested in Rodrygo and they are reportedly set to lodge a first bid in an attempt to land the Brazilian this summer.
However, they could be set to face shock competition from Barcelona, who are said to be eyeing an ambitious move for the Real Madrid forward.
Viktor Gyokeres hijack?
Arsenal are expected to complete the signing of Viktor Gyokeres, but multiple reports in Portugal claim that Man Utd have hijacked their deal for the Sporting CP striker.
Mikel Arteta’s side are yet to finalise an agreement over the structure of add-on payments and Man Utd have reportedly lodged a last-minute bid in an attempt to bring Gyokeres to Old Trafford this summer.
However, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Gyokeres has set his sights on joining Arsenal, with a move to Man Utd currently ruled out.
Arsenal to sign Irish teenager
Arsenal are reportedly set to complete the record-breaking signing of Irish wonderkid Victor Ozhianvuna.
Shamrock Rovers manager Stephen Bradley has confirmed that his club are in talks with a foreign club to sell the 16-year-old, while
The Independent in Ireland claim that Arsenal are the team in question.
The report adds that Ozhianvuna’s move to Arsenal will shatter the League of Ireland record fee of €1.9 million - rising to €4m - which was set when Tottenham signed Mason Melia from St Patrick's Athletic earlier this year.
