Arsenal have received a double approach from a Premier League rival that could pave the way for further investment this summer for Mikel Arteta.

The signing of Viktor Gyokeres last week took Arsenal’s spending this summer to more than €220 million, leaving little resources to fund their pursuit of Eberechi Eze.

The Gunners have raised just €8m in sales and the attention will now be to get fringe players off their books and to hopefully generate money to meet Crystal Palace’s asking price for Eze of around €75m.

FootballTransfers was recently told that Leandro Trossard and Oleksandr Zinchenko are likely to remain at the Emirates next season after positive talks with Arteta despite strong interest in both players.

And, in the case of Zinchenko, GIVEMESPORT report that he has been the subject of an approach from Fulham, who are also in advanced talks to sign Reiss Nelson.

While Nelson is expected to join Fulham either permanently or on loan with an obligation to buy, talks are ongoing over Zinchenko, with Arsenal said to value the Ukrainian at £15m (€17.4m.)

Arsenal may be forced to reluctantly cash in on in-demand stars

Zinchenko has found himself out of favour in North London after the emergence of Myles Lewis-Skelly at left-back, with the 28-year-old making just five Premier League starts last season.

Arteta is believed to be keen on keeping Zinchenko around as a squad option but Arsenal may be tempted to cash in for the right offer, with the ex-Manchester City star’s contract expiring next summer.

However, despite reportedly being in talks with Fulham since June, Zinchenko is not currently seen as a priority for the Cottagers unless left-back Antonee Robinson is sold this summer.

It could mean Arsenal are forced to reluctantly cash in on Trossard in order to sign Eze, having seen strong interest in a €35m move from clubs in Europe and Saudi Arabia.
