Arsenal could sign Gyokeres AND Sesko this summer

Arsenal could reportedly sign both Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko this summer, although it’s likely that only one new striker will join the club ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.
Mikel Arteta is determined to bring a new centre forward to the Emirates Stadium as he bids to guide the club to their first major trophy since the 2020 FA Cup, and he has identified Gyokeres and Sesko as his two main targets.
Arsenal are currently in talks with both players and they are expected to finalise a deal for one of them at some point over the next few weeks.
Although landing Gyokeres and Sesko is unlikely, Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth has revealed that a double deal would be financially possible for the Gunners.
“Financially, I think both Sesko and Gyokeres are deals Arsenal could do, but we are told internal discussions are continuing about which one of the two strikers to prioritise,” he admitted.
“There is clearly a long-standing interest in Sesko. Arsenal explored whether a deal for the RB Leipzig striker was possible in January but did not take it any further.
“Gyokeres is a name that won’t go away. He is another player in demand having scored 97 goals in 102 games for Sporting CP.
“Factors that will have to be weighed up by Arsenal are transfer fees and wages, but also profile and age. Having only just turned 22, Sesko is considerably younger than Gyokeres, who is about to turn 27.
“While not impossible, I’d be surprised if they signed both.”

Who will Arsenal sign this summer?
Arsenal are currently pushing to bring a new striker to the club, although they are also eager to sign a goalkeeper, a central midfielder and a left winger during the 2025 summer transfer window.
As exclusively revealed by FootballTransfers, Martin Zubimendi is set to arrive as their first summer signing to bolster Arteta’s midfield core, with doubts remaining over Thomas Partey’s future at the club.
However, Joan Garcia, their preferred goalkeeper target, is expected to join Barcelona, while Nico Williams is in talks to sign a new Athletic Club contract.
