REVEALED: How much Real Madrid have to pay for Alexander-Arnold

Real Madrid are expected to pay €1 million to have Trent Alexander-Arnold available for the Club World Cup, according to Spanish media.
The Liverpool vice-captain is bound for Spain's capital after refusing to extend his contract with his boyhood club. Alexander-Arnold is the odd one out out of the three Reds superstars who were facing free agency this summer.

Captain Virgil van Dijk and superstar attacker Mohamed Salah both decided to extend their stays at Anfield, but the 26-year-old has had his head turned by Real Madrid, who have been courting him since last spring.
Some Liverpool supporters had hoped that winning the Premier League could have made Alexander-Arnold change his mind, but several high-profile sources have reiterated that he is expected to move to the LaLiga giants this summer.
The timing of the transfer has been the subject of debate, however, as the Club World Cup is complicating the summer transfer window.

Real Madrid to pay fee for Trent
Due to the tournament in the US, FIFA has had to implement a special 10-day transfer window at the beginning of June, but contracts still run until June 30 as usual.
This means that even though Alexander-Arnold is technically moving on a Bosman, Real Madrid will have to buy him out of his Liverpool contract to have him available for the Club World Cup.

It has been known for some time that Liverpool won't stand in Alexander-Arnold's way, but they still expect a handsome fee to release him from his deal early.
According to AS, Real Madrid could have to pay up to €1 million to have the England international available. Additionally, the player would be required to forego his Liverpool wages for June.
The compensation fee, paired with the money saved on his wages, would amount to around €2 million for Liverpool.
