That is according to MilanLive, who report that Arsenal and Barca are big fans of the young left back.

Both clubs have sent scouts to watch Bartesaghi in action this season, with it already well-documented that the Gunners had representatives watching the teenager during the 0-0 draw with Juventus in Turin at the start of October.

While the interest is still at an early stage, Arsenal in particular with their Italian sporting director Andrea Berta are considering a future move.

Bartesaghi to Arsenal or Barcelona

Arsenal have been very active in the Serie A market in recent years, having signed the likes of Takehiro Tomiyasu, Jakub Kiwior and Riccardo Calafiori.

Bartesaghi has broken into the Milan team this season following an injury to Pervis Estupinan and has impressed for Max Allegri's side.

The 19-year-old is a left back who is also capable of playing at centre back.

He likes to get forward and is an excellent crosser of the ball.

Bartesaghi has a giant frame for a full back, standing at 6ft 5in.

He came through the Milan youth academy, joining the Rossoneri as a seven-year-old from Atalanta.

He made his senior debut as a 17-year-old in 2023 and has since made 21 appearances.

Capped twice by Italy Under-21s, Italy senior manager Rino Gattuso is said to be considering calling him up to the main Azzurri side.
