Did Kevin de Bruyne really collaborate with Drake?

Kevin de Bruyne has jokingly posted that he collaborated with Drake on the Canadian rapper’s latest song ‘Wick Man’, which features on his ‘For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition’ album.
The album was released on November 17, with a curious collaborator on ‘Wick Man. In the ‘Written By’ section, the name ‘K. De Bruyne’ can be seen, with fans speculating that the Belgian superstar was involved in the process of Drake’s latest album.
De Bruyne himself added fuel to the fire when he posted on Twitter: “@Drake needed an assist” with several photos attached, including the credits section of the new tune.

However, the Manchester City midfield later followed up by confirming: “all jokes aside, it’s not me! Huge fan though!”
While the Man City star did not collaborate with Drake on the tune, De Bruyne is not the first football player to have an association with the Canadian artist.

What is The Drake Curse?
Drake is frequently photographed with famous footballers and athletes from other sports, but the connotations are not often positive, hence ‘The Drake Curse.’
In the past, Drake has been pictured with famous athletes before a major event, yet the athlete in question often goes on to lose a match, fight or other activity shortly after being snapped with the Canadian rapper.
Serena Williams, LeBron James, Conor McGregor and Jake Paul have felt the effects of being pictured with Drake, while in football, the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Sergio Aguero and Jadon Sancho have fallen victim to The Drake Curse.
Aguero missed a penalty against Tottenham Hotspur in the 2019 Champions League after being snapped with Drake shortly before, while Paris Saint-Germain lost 5-1 to Lille in their heaviest Ligue 1 defeat in 19 years just days after Layvin Kurzuwa took a photo with the Canadian.
In 2019, AS Roma even tweeted: “All Roma players banned from taking photos with Drake until the end of the season.”
Luckily for Man City, De Bruyne was not involved in Drake's 'Wick Man' hit.
