Much of the recent speculation has centred around England manager Gareth Southgate, whose time with the Three Lions would appear to be drawing to a natural conclusion at the end of Euro 2024.

Southgate is the bookmaker’s favourite for the job amidst all this chatter, with a price of just 5/2 placed on the head of a man who has not managed in the Premier League since 2009, when his Middlesbrough side were relegated.

Graham Potter, who has long been a favourite of Man Utd’s new owners INEOS, is second favourite at a best price of 8/1, though many bookmakers have him as short as 4/1. Unattached, his arrival should be straightforward to negotiate.

If these two are the leading candidates, there are a couple of big names who are slightly longer odds. Thomas Tuchel, whose departure from Bayern Munich in the summer has been confirmed, is on offer at 9/1 while Ruben Amorim of Sporting CP is at 10s.
