CONFIRMED: West Ham make proposal for Fluminense star Andre
West Ham have sent a proposal to Fluminense for Andre ahead of a January move, FootballTransfers has learned.
We are told that the Hammers have sent a provisional offer for the midfielder, while personal terms are not expected to be a problem. However, it's thought that Fluminense may weigh up a number of offers given a sale won't be made until the winter period.
Andre had been linked with a move to Liverpool before but the club opted not to sign the 22-year-old as his current side would only allow him to join when their current season is over. The case remains the same for any side looking to buy him.
Last month, Football Transfers revealed that the Reds made an attempt to sign the midfielder, along with Fulham, but his current side were not prepared to let the Brazilian leave this summer, though we have been told that Jurgen Klopp's side could make another approach.

Fluminense always maintained that he could sign for another club this window, but not join until later - while we were told that for €25m (£21.5m), the club would allow Andre to leave with 80% of his economic rights, including future add-ons. It is not clear at this stage how much West Ham have offered.
Andre on his future
Indeed, Liverpool had been hoping to tempt Andre to force a move but the 22-year-old gave an interview to Brazilian outlet GE Globo. He talked about the speculation around him but reiterated his focus on seeing out the season in Brazil.

“It is obvious that it is normal to receive proposals. Even more so with the team doing well, passing the stage at Conmebol Libertadores, at the top of the Brasileirao,” he said.
“Not just for me, but it must have gotten to others as well. I am happy for the proposals that arrive, but my mind today is focused 100% on Fluminense.”
Andre is one of the brightest young prospects playing in Brazil today and so has naturally drawn a lot of attention from elite sides. Jorge Mendes has a mandate to bring the player to Europe, meaning that a number of clubs have made aware of the midfielder.
