Victor Osimhen has been high on the shopping lists of Europe’s big guns after firing Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years, and the future of the Man Utd transfer target is once again big news.

The Red Devils have been one of the rich behemoths strongly linked with a move for the Nigerian striker, who scored 26 goals in just 32 league games as the southern club claimed its first Scudetto since the days of Diego Maradona.

And now Erik ten Hag has been given new hope that Osimhen can be prised away from Serie A by a statement on Monday from Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis.

De Laurentiis revealed that Osimhen has agreed in principle to extend his contract for two more years, through to the summer of 2027.

Tantalisingly for Man Utd fans though, he added: “In case an exorbitant bid impossible to reject arrives, we will see and make the best decision for the club”.

Guess what folks, he is available, but the price just went up…

This is a saga which is likely to run right up until deadline day, or until somebody blinks and makes de Laurentiis an offer he and Napoli cannot refuse.

Rashford close to signing MEGA deal at Man Utd - Fabrizio Romano

Marcus Rashford is close to signing a massive new Man Utd contract according to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

In recent days the England forward has been linked with a new deal with a reported £375,000 per week. That would see him replace goalkeeper David De Gea as the club’s highest-paid player.

Per Romano, negotiations on the long-term pact are almost complete with the striker committing his future to the club he has played for all of his life. A big reason for Rashford’s decision to commit is coach ten Hag, who impressed the player during his first season in charge.

Sheikh Jassim could bring back Solskjaer in shock move

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could make a surprise return to Man Utd if Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani succeeds in his takeover bid this summer.

Solskjaer was Man Utd’s last permanent manager before the appointment of Erik ten Hag, being given his marching orders in November 2021 after a miserable start to the season.

But the former striker remains a legend at Old Trafford – not least for scoring the winner in United’s incredible 1999 Champions League final comeback win over Bayern Munich.

Last month, it was reported that should Jassim take over at Old Trafford, he would seek to bring back some Man Utd legends – and Solskjaer could be among them.

The Norwegian – who has also managed Molde and Cardiff City – has been out of work since leaving United but has backed himself to get back into the game.

Man Utd fans launch VICIOUS Glazers attack after Kim deal collapse

Manchester United supporters have let rip at the Glazers following the collapse of a transfer which should have seen Napoli centre-back Kim Min-jae join the club.

The South Korea international was expected to sign for the Red Devils in the early days of July, with a deal expected to be completed without any hitches just a matter of weeks ago.

There had been whispers last week that Man Utd’s control of the transfer was under threat as Bayern Munich loomed instead, and on Sunday it was announced by Fabrizio Romano that the deal had collapsed entirely.

United fans are furious to see a talent such as Kim, who would have been available for a bargain fee of around €60 million due to a release cause, slip away.

This wretched start for the club’s transfer window is being pinned solely on the incumbent owners by fans, who have launched the brutal trend on Twitter ‘#GlazersBURNinHELL’.

While the content of many of these tweets is predictably abusive, others are using the hashtag to plead for fans to start more meaningful protests against the American owners.

Man Utd favourites to sign Onana after Chelsea pull out

The way is reportedly clear for United to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana after Chelsea pulled out of the race for the Cameroon shot stopper.

The Evening Standard says Onana would cost Erik ten Hag around £50million as he looks to fill the void left by De Gea. The Spaniard’s contract runs out later this month and he is expected to leave the club.

Ten Hag names RIDICULOUS asking price for Man Utd flop Bailly

It is fair to say Eric Bailly’s spell at Old Trafford has been pretty disappointing - just over 100 games played in seven years and little in the way of silverware.

And now his time in Manchester could finally come to an end this summer with the Red Devils about to take a MASSIVE loss on the Ivory Coast star.

United paid a whopping €38m for Bailly back in 2016, soon after Jose Mourinho took charge. Since then it has all been downhill.

After spending 2022-23 on loan at Marseille, Bailly is now available for just €2.3m this summer - according to the Daily Mail. Right now, Spanish side Real Betis are favourites to sign him.
