Premier League rivals Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal could battle it out to sign Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich this summer.

The Dutch midfielder, 20, only joined Bayern from Ajax last June in a deal worth €18.5m, but he has been unable to establish himself for the German giants.

Gravenberch has made only four starts in all competitions this season, seeing just 323 minutes of Bundesliga action; he didn’t make it off the bench during Tuesday’s 3-0 Champions League quarter-final first-leg defeat away to Manchester City.

As a result, according to 90min, Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal have all asked to be kept abreast regarding Gravenberch’s situation in Germany.

The Netherlands international – who has won 11 caps for his country – signed a five-year contract with Bayern, but it remains to be seen how he fits into the plans of new boss Thomas Tuchel – if at all.

Tuchel replaced the sacked Julian Nagelsmann last month and has used Gravenberch for a combined 17 minutes so far, bringing him on as a late substitute in league victories over Borussia Dortmund and Freiburg.

A midfield battle for places

With the likes of Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka to dislodge, Gravenberch faces stiff competition for places in the Bayern midfield – and it could be about to get even stiffer.

That’s because the Bundesliga leaders are set to sign Konrad Laimer from RB Leipzig; indeed, BILD reported on Wednesday that the Austria star has already agreed to move to the Allianz Arena on a four-year deal.

Gravenberch – whose sole league start for Bayern came in a 3-2 loss at Borussia Monchengladbach in February – is currently valued by our Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) model at €54.7m (£48.1m).
