Chelsea manager Graham Potter is planning to let go of three players from his squad as he looks to revamp his team in the coming months.

The Blues have an inflated squad having made major investments in the last two transfer windows and will have to trim down a bit when they have the chance.

Potter is open to letting several underperforming members of the squad go as his team are struggling in the Premier League, sitting in tenth place.

As a result, some players are set to depart the team despite the fact that they had been signed recently as Chelsea look to be more efficient.

Three players could leave Chelsea

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could depart the club despite just arriving in the summer from Barcelona as he has struggled for form and game time under Potter.

Aubameyang was signed by former manager Thomas Tuchel but after his surprise sacking in September, things haven’t quite been the same for the Gabon forward.

Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing him as they let Danny Ings go to West Ham United this month, leaving a space open in their squad.

Kai Havertz is another player that could depart after his sluggish campaign and although he likes being there, he reportedly does not have much faith in the Chelsea squad.

Competition is high in the attacking zones of the Chelsea squad and their recent signings of Mykhaylo Mudryk and Noni Madueke has only raised that.

There is interest in the talented German from Bundesliga clubs, but Bayern Munich may be the only ones who could be able to afford him outright.

Finally, Tiemoue Bakayoko could leave Chelsea five years after last playing for the club and having various unsuccessful loan spells away.

He has spent time at the likes of Monaco, Napoli and Milan and Chelsea will finally look to cut their losses after his big-money move in 2017 which has been incredibly unsuccessful.
