Ronaldo snubbed! Amad Diallo names Man Utd star as his best ever team-mate

Manchester United's Amad Diallo doesn't think Cristiano Ronaldo is the best team-mate he has ever played with.

Diallo, 20, is currently on loan at Championship club Sunderland from Man Utd after joining the Red Devils from Atalanta in 2020, and was recently asked who his best ever team-mate has been.

The Ivorian, who was in the Man Utd squad with Ronaldo for six months before being loaned out to Rangers in January 2022, instead believes a different Red Devils team-mate is the best player he's played with.

Diallo thinks that "Marcus Rashford" is his best ever team-mate, after spending months with the Englishman in training at Man Utd.

Rashford has started life under Erik ten Hag in fine fashion, netting 16 goals and six assists in just 27 appearances in all competitions.

Ronaldo, on the other hand, scored just three goals in 16 Man Utd games before his contract was mutually terminated before the World Cup. He has joined Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr.

Diallo at Man Utd

The Old Trafford side paid an initial €21.3 million to sign the Ivory Coast forward, despite him never starting a senior game for Atalanta. He has made nine appearances for Man Utd since arriving, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

He joined Sunderland on loan in August, and has six goals and two assists to his name in 21 games for the club. Diallo will return to Man Utd at the end of the season, hoping to make a mark at the club.

His deal at Old Trafford is set to expire in 2025, meaning he must prove to Ten Hag that he's worthy of a place in the squad.
