Chelsea beware! Lukaku's value slashed in a year

Romelu Lukaku’s value has slashed massively in a year which will come as a big blow to Chelsea and their hopes of selling him in the future.
The Belgian forward is now at Inter having struggled at Stamford Bridge in the 2021-22 season and his second spell at the Nerrazzuri hasn’t quite gone to plan.
Lukaku has suffered with injury problems and hasn’t been able to hit the heights he did in his first spell at the San Siro when he spurred Inter to a league title win in 2021.

Now, according to Football Transfers’ valuation, things aren’t looking good for Lukaku, Chelsea and Inter with the forward’s form affecting his transfer value.
Lukaku form leads to valuation drop
Lukaku’s drop in valuation has been an indication of how the last few years have gone for the Belgian forward as he has rarely been at his best since his move to Stamford Bridge in 2021.
At his very best, Lukaku was valued at €107 million when he completed his move to Chelsea, immediately after a season where he was the star man behind Inter’s title win under Antonio Conte.

His value dropped to €70 million a year later as his form hit a snag and he completed a loan return to the San Siro, with the hope of getting it back up as he was at a place where he was comfortable.
However, as the loan spell hasn’t gone to plan, with Lukaku having not started a league game since August, having a poor World Cup with Belgium and falling behind Edin Dzeko in the pecking order, his value has dropped.

He is now valued at €51 million – a steep drop from when he was in his first spell at Inter and if things stay the same, he’ll be worth even less come the summer.
Some Inter faithful have been calling for Lukaku’s loan spell to be terminated and the option to sign him permanently to not be taken up given his lack of returns, showing how frustrating he has been.
