Milan are still interested in a move for Chelsea outcast Hakim Ziyech and are targeting a January transfer for the Blues winger.

The Serie A champions were looking to make a move for him in the summer, but were unable to reach an agreement for him as the Blues wanted a permanent sale, and not a loan offer that Milan made.

The Rossoneri also signed Charles De Ketelaere, the talented Belgian youngster, formerly of Club Brugge, and that ruled out any need to make a permanent move for Ziyech.

Now, Milan are back and showing interest in Ziyech and have opened contact with the Moroccan’s representatives with a view to a future move.

According to Calciomercato, Ziyech’s lawyer, Sebastien Ledure, met with representatives of the Italian club for talks over the future of the former Ajax winger.

Ledure has good relations with Chelsea having helped the Blues loan out Romelu Lukaku to Inter over the summer transfer window, and he will help out once again.

Ziyech is also open to a move, and is eager to play away from Stamford Bridge to revive his career and get more time on the pitch.

The Moroccan international has endured a torrid time at Chelsea since moving in 2020, with his career plagued by inconsistency and he is looking for a fresh start and show the form that made him so widely admired at Ajax.

He has made just five appearances for Chelsea this season so far and wants more, with Milan a serious possibility for him in the January transfer window.

Ziyech doesn’t seem to be in the plans of new manager Graham Potter and with Chelsea taking a new, youthful approach to their squad construction, he could well be out of the door soon.

Other than Milan, other Serie A sides such as Roma have also shown interest in Ziyech in the past and a move could be a realistic possibility soon.
