Arsenal have received a boost in their pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt attacking midfielder Jesper Lindstrom, with his current employers going public about their willingness to sell him.

Arsenal are known to be in the market for a player who can operate across the final third, with Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard bearing nearly all of the attacking burden behind Gabriel Jesus in the final third with Emile Smith Rowe injured.

Mykhaylo Mudryk - dubbed the "Ukrainian Neymar" - is their first choice, but his performances in the Champions League with Shakhtar Donetsk this season could drive his price up to an astronomical level.

Lindstrom starred for Frankfurt on their run to Europa League glory last season with four assists in nine games, but the Bundesliga outfit would be open to selling him, as they have done with many other star performers.

"We're striving for [our players] to be on the books of the biggest clubs," Frankfurt coach Oliver Glasner told SportBild. "Because it means that we're successful. But I hope we don't hold a bazaar and sell everyone. Our sporting goals must come first."

Lindstrom is currently rated at €13 million by Football Transfers' in-house algorithm, but he has a contract until June 2026b and his asking price will climb if he impresses at the World Cup with Denmark next month.

Who else have Frankfurt sold?

In recent seasons, Frankfurt have been happy to cash in on their stars, with Filip Kostic allowed to leave for Juventus in a €17m deal this summer.

At the end of the 2019/20 campaign, Frankfurt made €123m from the sales of strikers Luka Jovic and Sebastien Haller to Real Madrid and West Ham respectively.

Jovic's €63m move to the Bernabeu backfired spectacularly, and he is now picking up the pieces at Fiorentina. Haller is at Borussia Dortmund via Ajax, where he is recovering from testicular cancer.
