While much of the attention at Manchester United this summer has revolved around who could be joining the club, there could still yet be movement out of Old Trafford.

The likes of Jesse Lingard, Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic and Edinson Cavani are all gone, while Dean Henderson and Alex Telles will play the coming season away on loan.

But who could soon be joining the above stars in finding a new club? The following five players' futures are in some doubt during this final stretch of the transfer window...

Cristiano Ronaldo

This long-standing saga shows no sign of ending.

Ronaldo reportedly maintains that he wants out of Old Trafford in order to play in the Champions League, while United have refused to sell their veteran star - while at the same time several big European clubs have been careful to rule themselves out of the running for his signature.

The 37-year-old did appear off the bench in the club's 2-1 defeat to Brighton on Sunday but the uncertainty over his future looks set to run right until deadline day.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Wan-Bissaka looks on the way out of United after just three seasons at the club.

Former employers Crystal Palace are reported to be in pole position for the defender, who has lost his spot in the first team to Diogo Dalot and was an unused substitute against Brighton.

Phil Jones

Another United defender who has found himself on the fringes of Erik ten Hag's plans, it would be no surprise to see Jones seek a new club before the window shuts.

Wayne Rooney's DC United were an intriguing prospect, but with the MLS deadline now passed Jones will have to seek an alternative if he wishes to enjoy regular first-team football.

Eric Bailly

Bailly was little more than a peripheral figure at Old Trafford last season, missing a significant chunk of the season when he returned from the Africa Cup of Nations injured and still waiting for his first minute of competitive action in 2022.

That may have to come outside the club, with Roma reportedly close to sealing a reunion with the Ivory Coast star's former coach Jose Mourinho.

Brandon Williams

The arrival of Tyrell Malacia and fellow new signing Lisandro Martinez's ability to play on the left has only pushed Williams further down the pecking order in defence.

Brighton, on the other hand, are on the look-out for a new left-back after selling Marc Cucurella and could refloat their interest in the 21-year-old, who was linked with the Seagulls earlier this summer.
