Pep Guardiola’s team have sold Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko to Arsenal, while Raheem Sterling has joined Chelsea. Gavin Bazunu, Romeo Lavia, Pedro Porro, Ko Itakura, and Arijanet Muric have also left for a transfer fee, while Fernandinho, Ryotaro Meshino and Daniel Arzani have moved on for nothing.

Newly-promoted Nottingham Forest and Fulham have both been very active, also, letting nine and eight players leave, respectively.

Which clubs have sold the most players?

The 20 Premier League for the 2022-23 season have been very busy in the transfer market, which has come as no surprise given the riches that are involved in the English top flight.

Incomings have been plentiful, with the likes of Erling Haaland and Darwin Nunez joining the league, but there have also been numerous outgoings, with teams eager to freshen up their squads ahead of the new campaign.

FootballTransfers lists how many players each Premier League club have sold or let go this summer, excluding loan moves.

As mentioned, Man City lead the way in terms of outgoings, while Liverpool, Forest and Fulham follow them.

Manchester United have seen seven players leave this summer, although only one recouped them a transfer fee - Andreas Pereira. Chelsea have also let eight players depart permanently, with Timo Werner and Emerson Palmieri the only ones to reward them with a fee.

Leeds and Wolves have both let six players leave, while seven clubs have seen six players exit their respective teams this window.

Leicester City have only had two players leave permanently so far this summer, goalkeepers Kasper Schmeichel and Eldin Jakupovic.

While no clubs have kept hold of all their players from last season, one team hasn’t received a transfer fee as such for any of their players - Southampton.
