Manchester United have spent €191.7million during the summer so far on transfers, as Erik ten Hag continues his overhaul.

The Dutchman is slowly embedding the club with his own blueprint, with the likes of Alex Telles, Anthony Elanga, Fred, David de Gea, and Phil Jones all moved off the wage bill. There still could be more to come, with Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay's futures uncertain, the same with Anthony Martial, who sustained another injury.

Ten Hag wanted another goalkeeper to bring an end to De Gea's lengthy spell at Old Trafford. He signed Andre Onana after much intense speculation, for a fee of €52.5m.

Elsewhere, Man Utd snatched Mason Mount from Liverpool, after Jurgen Klopp pinpointed him as one of the fresh faces who could come to Anfield. Man Utd managed to secure a deal from the former Chelsea man for €64.2m.

Man Utd had Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley last term, coming in during the January window. They were still very much looking for a suitable No.9 to come in and lead the line. Atalanta's Rasmus Hojlund was the man that Ten Hag looked to.

The 20-year-old arrived to Man Utd for a mouth-watering €75m. The youngster is the club's latest signing this window, but there are still a couple of weeks left of the transfer window.

The money was paid for Hojlund's potential more than anything else, and there are still gentle whispers that Man Utd may opt to bring in another striker.

But this would count on shifting off a lot of deadwood - Maguire and McTominay had offers from West Ham, but their offers were knocked back by Man Utd, who are after more money.

Indeed, Martial is thought to be on the list of players that Ten Hag deems surplus to requirements, but at this stage, there has not been a solid link to the Frenchman.
