Manchester United are set to allow a further nine players to leave the club this summer as Erik ten Hag initiates a major clear-out this transfer window.

The Dutch head coach has arrived from Ajax and has already stamped his authority on the squad at his disposal. Frenkie de Jong has been placed as the club's number one transfer target, while several of his Ajax prodigies have been linked.

Antony, Jurrien Timber, and Lisandro Martinez don't look like they'll be joining Man Utd this summer, but Ten Hag has certainly identified a specific type of player as he strives to put his footballing blueprint on the Old Trafford outfit.

Midfield is deemed as a high priority position, while an additional forward is likely to be targeted given Cristiano Ronaldo is the only senior striker at the club. The Portuguese legend has even been linked with an exit this summer, with his agent Jorge Mendes reportedly speaking to multiple different clubs across Europe.

Who will leave Man Utd?

Change has already occurred this summer, with Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Edinson Cavani and Lee Grant all leaving the club upon the expiration of their contracts.

However, those will not be the only departures this summer. GOAL have reported that a further nine players will be allowed to leave this transfer window, either on a permanent deal or a loan move.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Anthony Martial will reportedly be given pre-season to impress the new manager, but both will leave if the right offer comes in for them.

In addition to that, Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Alex Telles, Axel Tuanzebe, Dean Henderson, Andreas Pereira, and Brandon Williams are set to leave if the club are able to ship them.

Fulham have submitted an offer for Pereira, while Henderson is set to join newly-promoted Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan.

Man Utd are very keen to add Feyernoord left-back Tyrell Malacia and have hijacked Lyon's deal to sign him. The Ligue 1 club had agreed terms, but the Dutch side have reportedly accepted Man Utd's offer and it will be a discussion for the player. His arrival would explain exits for both Telles and Williams.

The interest in Ajax's Martinez and Villarreal's Pau Torres is why Bailly, Jones and Tuanzebe could leave.
