‘Hapless driver’ Guardiola damages four different luxury cars in Manchester
Although Pep Guardiola soon adapted to the nuances of the Premier League after arriving in England, driving on the other side of the road appears to still be an issue for the Catalan coach. The Manchester City boss has reportedly damaged four different expensive cars since arriving at the Etihad in 2016.
According to a report from The Sun, he has damaged a £80,000 black Mercedes GLE, a £150,000 Range Rover, a £200,000 silver Bentley GTX700 and a £30,000 Mini Cooper.
In the case of the Mercedes GLE, he managed to mangle the wing mirrors. With the Range Rover, he filled it with petrol when it should have been diesel put in the car. He then crashed the Bentley GTX700, while his Mini Cooper has been damaged slightly too.

As was explained in the ‘Pep’s City: The Making Of A Superteam’ book, written by Lu Martín and Pol Ballús: [Guardiola] has a reputation from his Barcelona days of being a hapless driver and [his black Mercedes] is his fourth car he has owned since coming to Manchester. His wing mirrors don’t survive for long and he’s also managed to fill a diesel Range Rover with petrol and mangle a silver Bentley.”
Despite his bumps on the road, Guardiola is an ambassador for Nissan
Even though he isn’t the best driver, Guardiola does actually work with Nissan as a brand ambassador. As part of this collaboration, he has been driving the Nissan LEAF electric car.
On this experience, the coach has said: "A car is a key element in people's daily lives. By adopting more environmentally friendly mobility, like electric vehicles, we can make a big impact on our planet. Zero-emission driving is one of the best courses of action for a better and more sustainable future. I would like to tell the next generation of drivers that electric vehicles are so much more fun to drive than the cars I had when I first got my driving license. I would tell them that thinking outside of the box and making some responsible choices help collectively, as a team, to improve our daily lives and preserve our planet for future generations."

A video shared on social media in 2020, though, showed that even his Nissan LEAF had suffered a scrape or two.
