Arsenal have emerged as the bookmaker favourites to sign Jordan Henderson this summer, amid speculation he could leave Liverpool.

The Reds captain has two years left on his current Liverpool deal but talks are thought to have stalled, sparking speculation that his future could lie away from Anfield.

There's likely to be more intense negotiations over the next few weeks as Henderson seeks clarity on where his future lies.

What may be a concern for Henderson is that the club are in the process of attempting to tie down a host of other current first-team stars, such as Alisson, Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk.

The former Sunderland midfielder was injured for most of the second half of the season and was used sparingly by England during the Euros.

Team-mate Gini Wijnaldum was unable to agree upon a new contract and subsequently exited the club this summer for PSG, where he signed a lucrative deal.

And there have been suggestions that PSG could be open to pairing Henderson with Wijnaldum again next season in the French capital.

But various bookmakers in the UK have installed Arsenal as current favourites to prise Henderson away from Liverpool ahead of next season.

The Gunners are ahead of Atletico Madrid, Leicester City and Juventus in the pecking order for the 31-year-old.
