Carrick ready for Man Utd role

Manchester United are ready to appoint Michael Carrick as their interim manager in a shock move after it previously appeared that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was primed for the job.

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Carrick impressed in a face-to-face interview, which has allowed him to overtake the Norwegian and stand on the verge of the role.

Romano claims that the deal could be made official “within 24 to 48 hours”.

Morgan Rogers tipped for Real Madrid move

Aston Villa attacker Morgan Rogers has been tipped to move to Real Madrid by team-mate Ollie Watkins in a blow to Chelsea’s hopes of landing the England star.

The Blues had hoped to use Cole Palmer’s influence on Rogers to lure him to Stamford Bridge, but Watkins believes that the player could be destined for one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Arsenal’s Ben White targeted by Everton

Arsenal defender Ben White is wanted by Everton to target their “problematic” right-back area.

FootballTransfers exclusively revealed that White is unhappy about his lack of game time at the Emirates Stadium and is pushing to leave the club this January.

Aston Villa set to sign Gallagher

Aston Villa are closing in on an agreement with Atletico Madrid to sign England international Conor Gallagher, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The midfielder is keen to return to the Premier League after failing to nail down a regular starting spot in the Spanish capital, which is jeopardising his chances of making the Three Lions' World Cup squad.
