OFFICIAL: Cristiano Ronaldo signs new Al-Nassr contract

Cristiano Ronaldo has officially signed a new two-year contract with Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Nassr.
The Portugal legend’s existing deal with the Riyadh-based side was due to expire at the end of June, however he has penned a lucrative new contract that will keep him at the club until 2027.
This prompted intense rumours of a Bosman exit, and Al-Hilal were touted to pursue a deal in order to allow Ronaldo to feature at the inaugural summer Club World Cup.
Brazilian side Botafogo were also linked with a move for Ronaldo, however the 40-year-old reportedly rejected the chance to play at the tournament in order to extend his stay at Al-Nassr.
He has now officially signed a two-year contract extension with the club, and he will be 42 years old when his new deal expires.
Ronaldo has scored 93 goals in 105 appearances for Al-Nassr since arriving on a free transfer in January 2023 following the termination of his Manchester United contract ahead of the Qatar World Cup.
However, he is yet to win his first major trophy with the club.

Cristiano Ronaldo extends Al-Nassr contract
Ronaldo is settled in Saudi Arabia and he has opted to remain at Al-Nassr, despite rumours of a return to Europe or a move across Riyadh.
However, the 40-year-old will be managed by a new head coach next season after Al-Nassr chose to part ways with Stefano Pioli after he failed to deliver silverware during the 2024-25 campaign.
Ronaldo scored 35 goals in all competitions last season, however Al-Nassr finished third in the Saudi Pro League table, while they crashed out of the Asian Champions League at the semi-final stage after a 3-2 loss to Kawasaki Frontale.
