Alisson transfer twist as Juventus plan revealed

Juventus have agreed to pursue a deal for Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson when he becomes a free agent next summer.

The Brazil shot-stopper has been earmarked as Juventus’ dream goalkeeper target, but they are now planning on bringing him to Turin on a Bosman deal in 2027, rather than negotiate a transfer fee with Liverpool before Deadline Day on 1 September.

Alisson, who has struggled with persistent injury issues in recent years, has been heavily linked with a summer move to Juventus, with Bianconeri head coach Luciano Spalletti keen to secure a reunion with his former AS Roma pupil.

However, Juventus have been unable to finalise a deal with Liverpool and they now appear to have given up hope of agreeing a deal this summer. Instead, they are set to sign Zion Suzuki on a season-long loan deal, before moving for Alisson next year.

That is according to Italian publication Calciomercato, who report that Suzuki would be a stop-gap option for Juve until Alisson becomes available to sign on a free transfer in 2027.

Suzuki, 23, is currently on the verge of completing a permanent transfer from Parma to Paris Saint-Germain, but rumours suggest that Luis Enrique’s side will sanction a loan deal for the upcoming season, and Juventus are now ready to sign him on a temporary transfer for the 2026-27 campaign.

Matvey Safonov is expected to retain his place as PSG’s first-choice goalkeeper this term and Suzuki has already given his approval to join Juventus on loan, as per Tuttosport (via Football Italia).

The Japan international’s move from Parma to PSG, and subsequent loan deal to Juventus, is set to be announced shortly, with Spaletti’s side then set to pursue the signature of Alisson in 2027.

Alisson to leave Liverpool in 2027

The 2026-27 season will therefore be Alisson’s final year at Liverpool, with the Brazilian set to depart the club as a free agent when his contract expires next summer.

It’s understood that he is keen to reunite with Spalletti at Juventus and the transfer is expected to be completed when he becomes available to sign on a free next year.

Alisson, who played every available minute for Brazil at this summer’s World Cup, has made a total of 333 appearances for Liverpool, helping the Reds win eight major trophies, including two Premier League titles and the Champions League.

The 33-year-old is set to retain his place as Liverpool’s preferred goalkeeper under new manager Andoni Iraola, although he will face competition from Giorgi Mamardashvili, who is likely to be promoted once Alisson departs.
