Chelsea submit 'very exciting proposal' for €90m superstar
Chelsea have reportedly submitted a “very exciting proposal” to Kenan Yildiz following discussions with the Juventus star’s representatives.
The Turkey international was identified as a key transfer target by the Stamford Bridge hierarchy at the start of 2025 and they have ramped up their pursuit of his signature in recent weeks after failing to finalise a deal over the summer.
Yildiz is seen as the perfect player to provide quality and depth across Chelsea’s forward line, and the Blues are eager to fight off significant competition for his signature from several elite clubs across Europe.
Arsenal, Barcelona, Manchester United and Real Madrid have all been linked with a move for the 20-year-old since the 2025 summer transfer window slammed shut on 1 September, although TEAMtalk claim that Chelsea are viewed as the frontrunners in the race to sign him.
In fact, the Blues have reportedly tabled a “very exciting proposal” to Yildiz after a “discreet” meeting with his camp. It’s understood that Chelsea are working “non-stop” on finalising a deal for the Turkey winger, with scouts consistently watching him in action for Juventus this season.
Yildiz has notched three goals and four assists in 12 appearances so far this campaign, and an offer of at least €90 million will be needed to tempt Juventus into a sale next year, as per TEAMtalk.
Kenan Yildiz to join Chelsea?
Despite Chelsea’s interest in Yildiz, he still has over three-and-a-half years remaining on his current deal at Juventus and reports in Italy suggest that contract extension talks have progressed well.
The Serie A giants are willing to offer Yildiz an annual salary of up to €6m and early rumours state that he is eager to remain at Juventus for the foreseeable future.
In fact, earlier this year, Yildiz told reporters: “I would like to stay at Juventus for life. In the last year, I felt like I was becoming a man, especially in my mentality. There were difficulties, but I am happy with the season. Being the symbol of Juve gives me great confidence.
“I don’t think about the contract. I don’t talk about money or anything else, I just want to give my all on the pitch. I would like to stay at Juventus for life, but in football, you never know what can happen.”
However, Chelsea are still determined to finalise a deal and they are expected to intensify their pursuit of his signature as 2026 approaches.
