Barcelona are "observing" Dusan Vlahovic ahead of a possible free transfer move in 2026, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Vlahovic was available at a cut price but in the end Barca decided to stick with Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres as their two number nine options.

However, they are now planning ahead to next year and Romano says they are observing Vlahovic closely.

Lewandowski is likely to leave Barca on a free transfer when his contract expires, so Vlahovic could be a good replacement.

Bayern Munich are also watching closely as they want to sign a backup to Harry Kane.

Vlahovic to leave Juventus

Vlahovic's contract expires at the end of the season and Juventus will also try to sell Vlahovic in a cut-price deal in January.

Juventus have three strikers in Vlahovic, Jonathan David and Lois Openda playing for one position and so are happy to sell the Serbian.

It has been reported elsewhere that Man Utd have been offered Vlahovic at a bargain price, having already turned down the chance to sign him in the summer for €20-25 million.

Vlahovic is likely to see out the season and move on a free transfer in order to secure the best financial deal for himself.

Juventus signed Vlahovic from Fiorentina in January 2022 for €80m but he has not lived up to the promise he showed in Florence, despite still managing a respectful tally of 62 goals in 152 games.
