Rangers have opened formal talks to sign PSV Eindhoven winger Couhaib Driouech, who is reportedly keen to join the Ibrox giants this summer.
Rangers have already bolstered Derek McInnes’ squad with nine new signings so far this summer, including the recent addition of Daisuke Yokota from Hannover, however they remain eager to strengthen the options at the club as they look to beat Celtic to the Scottish Premiership title for the first time since 2021.

Driouech, 24, scored seven goals in 38 appearances across all competitions last season and Rangers are now locked in talks to bring him to Ibrox after accepting defeat in their bid to re-sign Mikey Moore on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.
It’s understood that an opening bid has already been rejected by PSV, but Rangers are set to intensify negotiations to sign him and Voetbal International report that Driouech is keen to move to Glasgow, where he will sign a long-term contract.
It comes after head coach McInnes confirmed his desire to add additional forward reinforcements to his squad before Deadline Day.
“We’re currently looking at several wide players,” he said ahead of Rangers’ Europa League qualifying fixture against Jagiellonia Bialystok on Thursday.
“These talks and conversations are on-going. I don’t really want to be too specific on any one player but a few reports recently have been accurate and we’re keen to just bring the best we can.
“Obviously the owner, Andrew Cavenagh has been really supportive. We want to try and be as ambitious as we can.
“In certain areas of the pitch we want to make sure we try and bring as good a quality as we can. We just need to see how this all lands for us with several targets.
“Obviously we’re not going to sign everyone we go for. But if we do get a bid accepted for any of the ones that’s been mentioned and a couple that haven’t been mentioned, then I’ll be delighted to get these players in as soon as possible.”
Couhaib Driouech wants to join Rangers
Rangers are expected to ramp up talks to sign Driouech over the coming days and it’s no surprise to learn that he is keen to secure an Ibrox switch following his comments last month.
“I had many highlights last season, especially in the Champions League, but to be honest, I expected more from the season. I would have liked to have played more often,” he said (via The Daily Record).
“I do think I deserved more games and to have had more appreciation. Three goals and two assists in six Champions League matches is not normal.
“For example, I scored twice against Liverpool, but then I didn't play against FC Volendam a few days later. That really hit me hard. After that, I played again against Atletico Madrid. I think I did well then, but after that I was back on the sidelines.
“I had to deal with those situations and that hasn't always been easy, although I think I have always behaved professionally towards the club and given it my all in training.”
He continued: “I believe it's good for a player's development to get the chance to show what you can do in a few consecutive matches and I don't think I've had that chance, except once at the beginning of the season and right after the winter break. But when the other guys were back, I had to sit on the bench again.
“I want to play no matter what. If that’s here, it’s here. If not, I’ll have to look further. I’ve reached the point where I know I can do it and I really want to show it.”
