Celtic announce completion of 'EMERGENCY' transfer
Celtic have officially sanctioned the temporary departure of Tobi Oluwayemi on an “emergency” seven-day loan to fellow Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock.
The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at Dunfermline Athletic in the second tier of Scottish football and he has arrived at Rugby Park following a hamstring injury suffered by first-choice goalkeeper Max Stryjek.
Former Chelsea youngster Eddie Beach filled in for Stryjek against Hearts last weekend, making his league debut for Kilmarnock in the process, but he conceded three goals and the club have moved quickly to finalise a deal for Oluwayemi ahead of this weekend.
Oluwayemi arrived at Celtic from Tottenham Hotspur in 2019, however he is yet to make his senior debut for the Bhoys and he hasn't been selected in a single first-team matchday squad by Brendan Rodgers so far this season.
Kilmarnock complete signing of Celtic goalkeeper Tobi Oluwayemi
An official statement posted on Kilmarnock’s club website read: “We can confirm the signing of goalkeeper Tobi Oluwayemi on an emergency seven-day loan from Celtic.
“The 22-year-old London-born shot-stopper came through the youth systems at Tottenham Hotspur and Celtic, gaining valuable experience through loan spells with Cork City, Admira Wacker in Austria, and most recently Dunfermline Athletic, where he established himself as first-choice goalkeeper.
“Oluwayemi joins Kilmarnock for an initial seven-day period, in accordance with SPFL rules on emergency loans.”

Celtic confirmed the news by posting on X: “Tobi Oluwayemi has joined Kilmarnock on an emergency loan.”
Oluwayemi is in line to make his Kilmarnock debut against Celtic’s arch-rivals Rangers on Sunday and there is reportedly an option for his loan spell to be extended.
Kilmarnock have picked up 10 points from their opening eight league matches so far this season and they are currently fifth in the Scottish Premiership table. By comparison, Celtic are in second place, having amassed a total of 17 points from their eight games.
