The 23-year-old will become the 10th new player to join Rangers this summer and he is expected to be unveiled by the Scottish giants shortly after being excluded from Go Ahead Eagles’ matchday squad to face PSV Eindhoven in the Johan Cruyff Shield final on Sunday.

Rangers will pay an initial fee of €3.4m for the Finland international, as per multiple reports, while add-ons could take the deal past the €6m mark, according to Voetbal International journalist Sander Janssen.

Janssen has confirmed that Antman will join Rangers this summer, with Go Ahead Eagles set to secure a club-record fee for the winger.

Antman, 23, scored seven goals in 39 appearances across all competitions last season, and his tally of 15 assists was the most of any player in the entire Eredivisie.

By comparison, PSV midfielder Guus Til was in second-place with 11, while Johan Bakayoko, who joined Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig for €18m in July, only registered one assist in the Dutch top flight last term.

Antman is therefore set to arrive at Ibrox with a stellar reputation and he will provide competition for fellow summer recruits Mikey Moore, Oscar Cortes and Djeidi Gassama.

Russell Martin issues Rangers message after opening day draw

Antman’s imminent move to Rangers will come as welcome news to new boss Russell Martin, who slammed his squad on Saturday following their 1-1 draw against Motherwell in their opening fixture of the 2025-26 Scottish Premiership season.

After the match, Martin told Sky Sports: “We were very lucky to get a point. I'm extremely disappointed and hurt by that.

“They were braver than us, they were more aggressive than us, and I've said to the players, I've been really honest with them - there is a default here at this football club.”

Martin added: “Some of them have to drop their ego. I will look at us tactically and accept my responsibility in it, but today, it's not really tactical, it's a mentality problem.

“And we got more than what we deserved, actually. If players aren't ready to step up then they will be left behind.”
