FIFA 23 wonderkids: The 15 best young goalkeepers

Southampton and Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu has the highest potential rating of any goalkeeper aged 21 or under in FIFA 23.

The former Manchester City player is rated just 70 at the start of EA Sports' video game, but he has the potential to reach 85 rated in career mode, which is one of the most popular game modes in the game.

Bazunu spent the 2021/22 season on loan at League 1 side Portsmouth, which earned him a move to Southampton from Man City. That loan spell also saw his FIFA rating move from 69 in FIFA 22 to 70 in FIFA 23.

Valencia shot-stopper Giorgi Mamardashvili is the second highest rated young goalkeeper in FIFA 23. The Georgian has been given an overall rating of 77 for FIFA 23, which ensures he tops the standings for goalkeepers aged 21 or under in the popular video game.

However, his potential rating is 84, meaning he falls just short of Bazunu in regards to the standings of the best young goalkeepers in FIFA 23.

Mamarsashvili also features in the top 30 youngsters in FIFA 23 with all position groups included. However, he has not seen his overall rating improve from FIFA 22 after remaining a 77 rated card.

Like Mamardashvili, Maarten Vandevoordt also has the potential to reach 84 rated, but his base rating is slightly lower at 70.

Lille shot-stopper Lucas Chevalier is fourth in the list, with the Frenchman handed a 67 rated FIFA 23 card, which has the potential to rise to 83 on career mode. Fellow Ligue 1 starlet Guillaume Restes could also reach 83 rated, but starts as 60 rated player.

Famalicao's Luiz Junior, Gil Vicente's Andrew, Benfica's Samuel Soares, and Atletico Nacional's Luis Marquines all have the potential to become 82 rated players in FIFA 23's career mode.

Ersin Destanoglu, Julen Agirrezabala, Arnau Tenas, Gabriel Slonina and Kjell Peersman have a potential rating of 81. Stade Rennais 'keeper Dogan Alemdar completes the top 15 young goalkeepers in FIFA 23.
