The Brazil international has been heavily linked with a Santiago Bernabeu exit in recent weeks, amid a public bust-up with head coach Xabi Alonso, and it’s understood that Real Madrid are willing to sanction a sale.

As exclusively reported by The Transfers Podcast in March, Los Blancos are unwilling to match Vinicius’ wage demands and they are open to letting him join a club in Saudi Arabia in 2026.

The former Flamengo winger has one-and-a-half years remaining on his current deal at Real Madrid and rumours of a departure have intensified following a fiery altercation with the aforementioned Alonso during the 2-1 victory over Barcelona in El Clasico.

Several clubs in the Saudi Pro League are eager to sign Vinicius next year, while the Brazil international has even been linked with a high-profile move to the Premier League amid reported interest from the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Kylian Mbappe wants Vinicius Jr sale

Vinicius has registered nine goal contributions in 16 appearances across all competitions so far this season, however Mbappe is “fed up” with the 25-year-old and has recommended to Florentino Perez that Real Madrid sell him next summer.

That is according to Spanish publication El Nacional, who claim that Mbappe believes Real Madrid should offload Vinicius and use the funds generated from a sale to sign a new centre forward. This would allow the Frenchman to be deployed as a left winger.

Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland is seen as Real Madrid’s primary striker target ahead of 2026, however he still has over eight years remaining on his current contract at the Etihad Stadium and a deal will therefore be extremely difficult to finalise.

Levante centre forward Karl Etta Eyong has also been linked with a move to Los Blancos in recent weeks, but he has admitted that he “dreams” of playing for Chelsea.
