Real Madrid face transfer 'DILEMMA' after Gonzalo Garcia emergence
Real Madrid could loan out Brazilian wonderkid Endrick after the emergence of Gonzalo Garcia, according to Spanish media.
The 21-year-old has been the breakout star of this summer's Club World Cup. Garcia has so far netted four goals and provided one assist in five outings at the tournament in the US.
Garcia is now one of the favourites for the Golden Boot, and his emergence could have major consequences for the rest of Real Madrid's attacking department. Indeed, the ripples have already been felt, with Brazilian superstar Rodrygo barely seeing minutes under new boss Xabi Alonso so far.
Kylian Mbappe remains Real Madrid's first-choice striker, but there is no denying that Alonso is a massive fan of Garcia, who boasts a physicality and work rate that the big-name forwards in the squad can't match.
Garcia will not displace Mbappe, but he could potentially supplant Endrick, who has been unable to feature at the Club World Cup due to injury. Although Alonso has announced that he will look to rely on the Brazilian wonderkid, this month in America is likely to have put Garcia over Endrick in the pecking order for the time being.
Real Madrid to offload Endrick?
The Spanish press has claimed that the idea heading into the summer was for Garcia to depart the club permanently as he appeared to have little chance of featuring for the first team.
However, his emergence has effected a complete U-turn and Cadena SER now reports that it is Endrick who is actually the more likely of the two to depart, albeit only on loan.
It is important to note that Los Blancos have not yet made a definitive decision on the future of either striker, but a loan for Endrick is deemed the more sensible move considering that he is not yet familiar with Alonso's style, unlike Garcia.
AS also confirms that no final decision has been made, but the Spanish outlet states that Serie A giants Juventus are keeping a close eye on Endrick's situation.
