Kylian Mbappe (France)

Kylian Mbappe’s contract at PSG expires on July 1 and it is widely accepted now that he will join Real Madrid on a free transfer.

PSG boss Luis Enrique has confirmed publicly that his star man will be leaving at the end of the season but until now there has been no official confirmation from Mbappe or Madrid about the move.

Mbappe has confirmed publicly, though, that he will announce his future before Euro 2024 begins.

Mbappe has been close to joining Madrid on a number of occasions in recent years, frustrating the Blancos by repeatedly staying at PSG at the last moment each time.

The attacker will be France’s key man at the Euros.

Olivier Giroud (France)

Olivier Giroud’s contract at AC Milan expires at the end of the season and it is unanimously accepted that he will not be penning a renewal.

It is widely believed that Giroud has agreed a contract to join LAFC in the MLS, with a move to the United States long being a dream of the striker.

The 37-year-old is understood to have agreed a contract until December 2025.

He has enjoyed three excellent years at AC Milan, helping the club to the Scudetto in 2022.

Euro 2024 is expected to be his last international tournament for France.

Luka Modric (Croatia)

Luka Modric could finally leave Real Madrid this summer after 12 brilliant years in which he will go down as a club legend.

Now 38, Modric will wait until the end of the season before sitting down with Madrid to decide whether to pen a one-year renewal or leave on a free transfer.

Despite his age, there is still plenty of interest in the Croatia legend, who will captain his contract at Euro 2024.

Jorginho (Italy)

Jorginho joined Arsenal in February 2023 from Chelsea on an initial 18-month contract, with the option of a one-year renewal.

With the Italian having impressed massively this season and become an important player in midfield, it had been expected that the extension would be activated.

But Jorginho has still not yet signed on, and so his future at Arsenal still remains very much in question.

There is interest from Italian clubs in bringing him back to Serie A.

Jorginho is likely to start for Italy at Euro 2024 but could rotate with Manuel Locatelli as the deep-lying midfielder.

Adrien Rabiot (France)

Adrien Rabiot’s contract at Juventus expires at the end of the current season, and he has not held any concrete talks over a renewal.

The Italian media are unanimous in their reports that Rabiot is unlikely to sign a new contract, especially as Max Allegri - who he is close to - is almost certain to leave the Bianconeri in June.

This is the second year in a row that his contract is due to expire, with Rabiot extending his contract just days before it was set to run out at the end of June last year.

Rabiot will be a starting midfielder for France at Euro 2024.

Piotr Zielinski (Poland)

Piotr Zielinski’s exit from Napoli at the end of his contract has now been confirmed.

The Poland midfielder ended contract renewal talks with last year’s Serie A champions at the end of last year.

He was then dropped and left out of Napoli’s Champions League knockout stage squad as punishment.

In Italy, all media are unanimous that he has already signed a pre-contract with Inter.

Zielinski is Poland’s star midfielder.
