Al-Nassr are exploring the feasibility of a stunning swoop for Real Sociedad star Takefusa Kubo, according to Spanish media.

The former Real Madrid wonderkid has become a real star in LaLiga in recent years and he has been one of the big reasons why Real Sociedad have been so successful over the past two campaigns. The 22-year-old has notched 15 goals and 13 assists in 69 games for Erreala since making the switch from Los Blancos for just €6.5 million.

The tricky attacker's form has been attracting the attention of Europe's big hitters, chief among them his former club. Real Madrid have been repeatedly linked with a potential move to re-sign the Japan international. According to some reports, they have €33 million buy-back option in addition to their 50 per cent sell-on clause.

At €33m, he would undoubtedly be a bargain given that his Real Sociedad release clause stands at a whopping €60m, however, now it is not Real Madrid but the club of a Los Blancos legend who are said to be keen on striking a deal.

Al-Nassr want Kubo

According to Relevo, Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr have tested the waters regarding a potential deal. The report does acknowledge, though, that a January move is highly unlikely and that no concrete talks have as yet taken place.

"To date, there are no advanced negotiations, but it is true that, through the work of some intermediaries, Ronaldo's club have tried to explore the possibility of purchasing the Japanese star," the Spanish outlet asserts. "In any case, Kubo wants to continue in Europe and, barring any surprise, he is going to stay at Real Sociedad until the end of the season."

With Erreala in the midst of an adventure in the Champions League knockouts, it would require the triggering of his €60m release clause and the convincing of the player to prise him away from San Sebastian in the winter.
