Vinicius Junior could find himself making a shock exit from Real Madrid if Kylian Mbappe joins the club when his contract at Paris Saint-Germain expires, according to reports in Spain.

Mbappe’s has long been rumoured to make the move to Real in the summer, having performed a last-minute u-turn to reject the club and extend his contract with PSG in 2022.

The Frenchman has remained tight-lipped on his future but there is a growing belief that Real will eventually get their man this time around, however it could come at the cost of their talismanic Brazilian.

Spanish outlet SPORT claim that Real president Florentino Perez’s ‘obsession’ with Mbappe means that Vini Jr ‘has an expiration date’ at the Bernabeu due to both players preferring to play on the left wing.

Perez is said to see Mbappe as a ‘true planetary number one’ and believes the additions of French compatriots Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni in recent years, as well as Jude Bellingham, are ‘perfect compliments’ to the PSG star.

Subsequently, Vini could be ‘expelled’ upon Mbappe’s arrival, with comparisons made to the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, who ‘left the capital through the back door’ as Real look towards a future without their Brazilian talisman.

Mbappe is expected to sign for Real Madrid this summer.

Vini Jr: ‘Everyone at Real wants to play with Mbappe’

Despite the report, Real are not thought to have concrete plans to sell Vinicius Jr and the player himself said last year that ‘everyone here would love to play with Mbappe.’

"Everyone here wants to play with Kylian. I hope it happens one day,” he told France Football. “He is one of the best players, maybe the best."

Mbappe is able to sign a pre-contract with any club after entering the final six months of his deal with PSG, with the French side looking to make another eyewatering, record offer to try and keep the forward in Paris.

However, optimism is thought to be fading and Mbappe is expected to eventually sign with Real, with suggestions that he privately had regrets of rejecting the club two years ago.
