Barcelona are seeking to complete the signing of Germany U17 World Cup winner Almugera Kabar.

Reports from Germany indicate that FCB are seeking to set up their interest in the Borussia Dortmund left-back, who has yet to make his first-team debut but caught the eye as Germany went all the way to world glory in Indonesia.

Bild says that Barcelona have already opened negotiations with the teenager, who has a contract until 2025.

Although the Catalans’ transfer dealings are complicated by their difficult financial circumstances, the indications are that the teenager would not cost too much for the LaLiga champions.

Dortmund, meanwhile, are trying to persuade the youngster to stay put by integrating him into the first-team picture of the club. It is unclear whether this will be enough to retain his services, however.

Dortmund want new Brunner contract

Dortmund are also working to tie Paris Brunner down to a new deal after he was named the Best Player of the U17 World Cup.

The 17-year-old, however, has been a controversial figure at BVB, having been suspended by the club because of undisclosed disciplinary reasons in October.

Nevertheless, they want to retain the prolific forward, according to SportBild, which reports that the player will receive a sizeable jump in his monthly salary, which currently stands at €8,500.

It is stated that Dortmund’s standard salary for new professionals stands at €50,000 per month but off the back of Brunner’s performances in Indonesia, he could earn up to €60,000 per month, which could increase once he breaks into the first team.

Brunner is also in line to receive a signing bonus of €500,000, with Dortmund of the belief that the player’s attitude will see him succeed in first-team football.

He could be integrated into the team after the winter break, with head coach Edin Terzic considering taking him on a training camp to Marbella with the first team.
